Hi, well the trails at Waterworks have been getting a pounding lately with the good weather. Jake Roberts hit the deck hard last night and fractured his collarbone. We didnt give him much sympathy at least he was going for a big one footer!! The summer gate sessions at Preston track are underway with Tuesday nights and Saturday days 11-2pm being the ticket. Its a cracking gate setup and well run.So get down there. The next meeting at Bradford track 31/03/07 will be good and the team will be racing at Harworth for the easter classic on April the 8th. So if your there come up and have a chat about any coaching or race tips. check this local kid going for it on an unconventional trailriding machine !! see ya Mike

Iam just off a three day BCF talent camp. We where assessing the next crop of hopefuls to MAYBE join the BMX Talent team program. It kicked off Friday with a nutrition workshop, then saturday morning was straight into a circuit session taken by myself and the larger than life CK Flash AKA Michael PUSEY. The guys and girls all 14 of them got really put through there paces. Then it was into the sprint athletics track for some timed gates 10m/40/80m checking gearing technique pedal style etc. We then headed back to the hotel for food and rest. Sunday was full on someone said it would snow!! "yeah right" it did... We where on a two hour mountain bike ride led by mountain man himself Dave Taylor. The hailstones/snow was actually coming up at you. This was a tough cold ride with most of this lot not being used to putting in the hard yards on a different style bike. I took local hotshoe skater and bmxer Jacob Roberts to Blackpool last Tuesday. Ive known him since he was a real nipper and he is still only 11!! In fact ive been with him on his first drop ins (bike and board) and a lot of the real milestones in learning skateboarding and bmx! Theres a jump box at Blackpool, bloody big un. Jacob cant roll in yet off a 6ft quarter pipe but he clears the jump box with ease !!!! check the footage, amazing stuff.

Okay for those of you that have been wondering who the famous Tom Bonnen is??(housewives favourite) i have exclusive pics of him training in the mountains of Chorley. He can often be seen crawling the streets in the early hours on training rides, this is his winter bike!! Thanks for pummeling me on our training rides Tom..
