Okay all just off the 5 day Talent team camp in Saddleworth moor(dont leave the road!!!) I joined the camp on Tuesday and the guys had already done SRM fitness testing. Sprint work on the indoor athletics track in Sheffield. A 100% ME drug workshop, mountain bike rides. I joined on the fun bit. Skatepark riding!! Arran, Matty, showed the way being regular skatepark riders but everyone had a blast and tried new things. We then set up the gates and had man on man skatepark racing check the clips, good fun!!! Then it was down to the indoor for a good track session of gates and technique work. Lawrence Mapp joined us and was looking fast and strong Geezer!! As did Lee Bromfield Dan Whyte (they dont get more determined than Dan). We did nutrition workshops and a grueling two and half hour mountian bike ride in the company of Berren(bcf mountain bike coach) who showed some us nice hills!! Thanks chuck. All in all a good camp, even though the fellas did eat way to many beans!! see ya Mike

Its good to see bmx finally geting recognised.

Did a talk on Bmx today in leigh library, this is a project to get kids of all ages back into the Library and make it fun. Hence the use of action sports like bmx and skating to attract them in..I showed some DVDs and had a display of race bikes and gear. The kids seemed pretty happy although with health and safety these days you just cant do demos unless your covered. Anyway its spreading the word about bmx racing in the olympics., see ya Mike

Okay i know it isnt bmx related but yesterday i had a fun time hanging out at channel M in Manchester watching Frank Sidebottom and the band the Magic Numbers perform. The band have a great single out called "this is a song" and Frank is appearing at venues around the country. Check him out.
